Training and facilitation
The National Youth Council of Catalonia (CNJC) also has a team of workers dedicated to training and facilitation and who are available to organisations.
The CNJC’s team of trainers and facilitators seeks to cater to training needs in the association world by providing training in key topics, as well as mentoring in processes for organisations and groups of young people.
It strives to provide quality content and to explore issues relevant to young people so as to encourage youth associations and groups of young people to leverage this learning in their day-to-day work.
This training is free for CNJC members and their grass-roots organisations.
Would you like to receive training and/or facilitation?
Training requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance.
If in doubt, do not hesitate to write to [email protected] or call 623 139 309.
*The acceptance of applications from CNJC organisations is subject to budget availability and to a balanced distribution amongst organisations.
Training paths
United we can overcome anything
This path covers association-forming as a tool for youth participation. It deals with theoretical aspects (why partner up, for what purposes, and forms of organisations), while also furnishing organisations with tools to improve their internal (group) management and project management (work plans, strategic plan).
Learning from feminism
This training path covers the beginnings of mainstream feminism and goes on to take in all the critical analyses straddling decolonial and anti-racist perspectives so that organisations can leverage the contributions to be made by feminism’s diverse approaches to tackle the different challenges faced by organisations (the acknowledgement of roles, inclusion of cultures and origins, question-and-answer dynamics…).
How to be politically influential and not die in the attempt
Being politically influential is a key tool for young people’s participation and self-organisation. It constitutes an exercise in giving sovereignty back to the citizens and is a learning process in itself.
We, as youth organisations, both formal and informal, have the capacity and the power to think, plan and promote political influence campaigns spearheaded by young people in our towns, districts and cities. Let us put this into practice in order to be an active part in social transformation!
Let's politicise our unease: Towards the collective management of emotions
This path offers a continuous way to explore, in depth, the emotional health of the group requesting the training. On the one hand, the proposal sets out to accompany and facilitate group processes based on the actual organisation’s specific needs, and on the other to complement this with theoretical reference frameworks that help to conceptualise and analyse the group’s life experiences. The path is intended to bring about a genuine transformation in the organisation by working on aspects such as emotional awareness-raising, non-violent communication and group structure and operation, to name but some. The individual (the person) and collective (the group) dimensions are both approached with a view to generating specific strategies and actions for change.
Association-forming support workshops
Training workshops for groups that want to become associations. Or for organisations that need help with basic legal and administrative questions and with how to handle the day-to-day management of an association.
These workshops are free of charge for all young people's organisations or groups.
How to create a youth organisation?
This workshop addresses what a youth association actually is and takes you through all the steps involved in setting one up: formalities, documentation and legal issues and obligations.
Management of a youth association
This training session covers the management of how a youth association operates, providing trainees with tools for efficient management and dealing with queries about the usual administrative, financial and legal processes. This workshop is recommended for recapping on an organisation's internal operating procedures or for taking you through a team change-over process.
